A redshirt year will help this kid tremendously. Very raw skill set but moves well for being 6'10. Needs a year to get stronger and get used to the higher level basketball.

 
Guess it comes down to how bad he wants to go to college right away. I would assume he redshirts in Lincoln and Creighton wants him to spend a year in a prep school. Either way the first season after his senior year of high school will be used as a developmental year.

So if he went to this prep school he still gets four years to play if I am not mistaken. Does he still get a redshirt year as well or not?

 
Going to a prep school would not start his NCAA "clock." Thus he could start college the following year and still have a redshirt year available.

Thanks! Wasn't sure what the rules were but I do remember the clock thing you mentioned in recruiting threads. That makes a lot more sense. Now the thing is if he wants to continue to play and go to a prep school or get his spot at Nebraska and redshirt. Think we have the advantage with our lack of depth at post when he gets here.
