I have a hard time seeing why Thompson got tossed on that close out.  I didn't see his elbow anywhere close to Livingston's head.

He shouldn't have been ejected. However, his actions after getting tossed will get him suspended for the next game.

He took 1.5 seasons off, and was 35 in the last season of the 2nd 3-peat. I just think a month worth of hearing it is overkill. I hardly even follow basketball and I've seen multiple headlines about it. It's not like James is in his 40s.

Yeah, I think that was terrible. The only thing I can see is after the initial block attempt his elbow does jerk towards Livingston's head a bit.  Even watching it a bunch of times in slo-mo I don't think that was intentional but it might have looked bad from a different angle in real time.
