2019 Women's World Cup

The male announcer is a language traitor.

He’s American but he says stuff like “Netherlands throw it in” or “France are a good team” or “Coldplay are a good band.”

That’s the British way of speaking. We treat groups as singular when using their label. I think he’s watched too many soccer games with British announcers in order to practice and doesn’t know how’s saying it the wrong (British) way.

Soccer concussion protocol is definitely not on par with football.

Doctors check them for 45 seconds then the ref makes then stand on the sideline for an arbitrary amount of time  (< than a minute this time) then they go back in. lol

That led to a great chance, so I'll call it a push. But yeah it seems like the refs want them to play the game, but also missing some obvious fouls.

 
Congrats to the USWNT. Going to be interesting what this team will look like in 2023. Midfield is pretty young still but of the 17 other players 11 are 30+.
