Adama Sanogo just verbally committed to UConn and is reclassifying to the 2020 recruiting class, he tells 247Sports.

“I picked UConn because it’s the best place for me,” Sanogo said. “I picked them because their coach uses their big man. I watched a lot of their games this year and I liked how they played their big men.”

Sanogo, a 6-foot-9, 250-pound post prospect out of Elizabeth (N.J.) The Patrick School, picked Dan Hurley’s program over Maryland, Nebraska, Seton Hall and a host of other high major schools.

Not a huge deal because Fred hates HS recruiting...but I like seeing Illinois #2 (They sold their soul two years ago to get Ayo and spurn Simeon HS and it appears to be working)

Also...if Coach Howard was not such an incredible guy...his seat would be warm.  He has a great class coming in but it was supposed to be even more amazing and he lost 1 or maybe 2 dudes that were all but set on Michigan.  It will be interesting to see what happens there.

Yeah, no kidding.

They don't recruit all that great but they do get shooters (and it seems like Fran always has a son that is highly rated)

And as annoying as Fran is...he can coach offense.
