2020 NCAA Tournament Discussion

All-American
Nebraska will not be in the 2020 NCAA Tournament but I still enjoy tracking who’s on track to make it and what leagues are getting how many bids. I tend to use two sites when looking at these projections, Bracket Matrix (for seeding as we get closer to the tournament) and Team Rankings (for percentage chance to make the tournament).

Starting now, here’s how many multi-bid leagues there are according to Team Rankings (high-major leagues bolded):

Big Ten: 8

Big East: 6

SEC: 6

Big 12: 5

ACC: 5

American: 4

Pac 12: 4

WCC: 3

A10: 3

MWC: 2

As of today: your top 4 seed lines look like:

1. Kansas

1. Duke

1. Gonzaga

1. Oregon

2. Ohio State

2. Auburn

2. Louisville

2. Michigan St

3. Arizona

3. Dayton

3. Memphis

3. Butler

4. San Diego St

4. Wichita State

4. Baylor

4. Maryland

So tough to get the brain in that mindset so early.

I do think the B1G will be very interesting in the fact that I think spots 4-12 could be like fairly interchangeable.

I see the B1G winding up with 8 max. Big East prob closer to 5 and PAC12 4. Think 6 from the B12 and 4 from the American (I expect Cincinnati to start playing better). and ACC may sneak an extra.
