Commit Fit: Which Big Ten signees found the best situations?
Mike Farrell • Rivals.com
QUARTERBACK
1. Logan Smothers, Nebraska
Farrell’s take: Smothers is a great fit for what Scott Frost wants to do with the Huskers
RUNNING BACK
5. Sevion Morrison, Nebraska
Farrell’s take: Morrison is shifty and can do a lot in the Nebraska offense
OFFENSIVE LINE
3. Turner Corcoran, Nebraska
Farrell’s take: Corcoran has that aggression and nasty disposition Nebraska fans expect in linemen
DEFENSIVE TACKLE
2. Marquis Black, Nebraska
Farrell’s take: Black is a great, athletic grab from Georgia for the Huskers who can chase the passer
DEFENSIVE END
3. Blaise Gunnerson, Nebraska
Farrell’s take: Gunnerson is a big end who works well off contact and will hold the edge well in Nebraska’s scheme
Omar Manning as well. He is exactly what we are missing at WRSurprised to see Marquis Black on this list over Nash - I do think Black has the chance to be a surprise/steal of this class down the road who is a bit underrated.
Surprised to not see Keyshawn Greene on the list at LB.
I can't find much on this kid. Looks like he went to prep school the same place as Casey Rogers and it looks like he's planning to be with a college team this fall.
