We'll win.  And handily, but not in a steady manner, I'm thinking.  It'll look good in the 1st quarter, then not so good by the half, then okay in the 3rd quarter, and finishing the game three scores ahead, at least.  Probably something like 38 to 17.

So, a lot of people are picking Nebraska to win a close game.  I like they are picking Nebraska.  But, I would feel better with like a 20 point win prediction.

 
Self Proclaimed expert here... Picking Nebraska 35 - Illinois 24 with a late score by the Illini to make this look closer than it is. If we contain the run and get get a few chunk plays on offense and limit turnovers we win this game. 

 
I am seeking a lot of win Win WIN and that sounds good, but it is impossible for me to believe it without seeing it first. Watched last year's game with these guys a few weeks ago and then watched the Minnesota game, against a team that had played very little due to COVID issues, and we still lost. The Illinois game was super depressing. Just bad football. And, yet, the Illini had a bad year and ditched the coach. Remember when a dominant win over Nebraska would have given a struggling coach a little bit of life, maybe add a year to his tenure. That's a thing of the past. I watched the Wrap last night, and the boys were saying Scott's crew would win three in front of Oklahoma and three on the other side. I look at it and say, "Well, we are going to beat Fordham, and, aside from that, I have no idea." It would absolutely suck to lose this game, week zero and we lost before most teams have left their locker room for the first time. YUCK. Still, it's hard for me to shake the feeling. A 10 point loss with the difference coming in the fourth quarter would not be a surprise to me.

 
These guys both picked NU to win, but not cover -7. They also noted that if we don't win in a blowout then Frost is on the hot seat big time :dunno

One of the most fun games I attended was a major blowout against either New Mexico, or New Mexico State way back in the day.  Ended up one of those 77 - 10 type of games.  There were maybe 10 of their fans up in the corner and they were gone by halftime.  So a dozen or so of us went down to the sideline where their cheerleaders were stationed, and did all their cheers along with them.  They were having a riot and I think they really appreciated our fun efforts.

Yeah....blowouts were fun.
