Tallahassee Community College’s El Ellis is in his first year after opting to go the JUCO route and oh has it been effective for one of the top prospects in the Junior College ranks.

Ellis has quickly become one of the best shooters in the entire country. He’s TCC’s leading scorer shooting at a hot 49% clip from the field, beyond that he’s shooting 43-99 from three and shooting 43%.

“I’m a fast pace point guard that will do anything to help my team win. I can score at all three levels, I get my teammates involved and I’m a leader,” he told Stockrisers.com

With having still another year after this season of JUCO play, Ellis is in no rush when it comes to his recruitment. He already holds offers from Texas A&M, Ole Miss, DePaul, East Carolina, and many others.

In addition, he’s garnered recent interest from several high-major programs and I expect that to expand as the season and summer flows on.

“I’m hearing from New Mexico, Tulsa, UCF, Temple, MTSU, Penn State, LSU, Nebraska,” he said. I expect him to hold off on visits for the next few months as he’s working on having a good rest of the season.

“I’m just building relationships with the coaches and enjoying the process,” Ellis said.

Ellis is a 2021 college recruit, and has one more year at Tallahassee CC. He will then have two years of eligibility to play Division-I basketball.

Ellis finished his high school career at Quality Education Academy, where he scored 16.7 points and 4.7 assists a game. Ellis scored 2,383 points during his prep career.
