2021 Season Notes

That indicates they don't have much belief in Nebraska.. putting us in as the last #2 only before having us as the last #3.. Arkansas is listed as the #1 overall seed yes?  If so, then Nebraska is the last #2, yes? Or.. am I wrong in my thinking?

Nebraska may be considered a “low #2 seed” but they are also shown in Arkansas’s regional because they are one of the closest hosts to Nebraska. The NCAA baseball tournament tries to keep teams as close to home as possible, with a more “regional” feel for it. It helps reduce travel costs, and can get fans to go to the regional sites easier (assuming fans are allowed).

Bunz has been extremely clutch in relief this year. In 3 games series if we can get to the 7th with a lead I feel pretty comfortable with handing the ball the Bunz and Schwelly to close it out. Still needing another reliever to step up in the 4 game sets. 

Is Diederich on the self with an injury? I was fairly impressed with him in relief at the beginning of the season but haven't seen him since.

Bolt confirmed today that Nebraska has put in a bid to host a regional as the sites are predetermined this year.

This prompted Husker fans to tweet at Kendall Rogers, who defended their B1G coverage by saying they have 2 Midwest writers. I looked thru their Midwest writers tweets. Lots of Maryland and OSU tweets, no mention of Nebraska in the last month (who is 13-2 in their last 15 and leading the B1G). Not much mention of Michigan either. If you’re covering the Midwest/B1G and not mentioning Nebraska or Michigan.....you’re probably doing it wrong.

Thanks. I had not heard that about Diedrich. 

To update the latest that I heard,  the radio people said it may be a month on Perry.  That's probably more likely than 2 weeks.   He's throwing on flat ground right now but not off the mound.   Needs to progress to the mound and then build up his arm.
