I must be missing something?  They won the 5 games leading up to our game and have won the last 2?  

Nae'Qwan Tomlin was their #3 scorer last year.  He was suspended from the team in October for off-court issues.  Then their AD kicked him off the team the week before they played us.  There was quite a bit of consternation about how that all went down.
