They'd be talking about it for years if it had gone the other way, too.  

The reason FSU got screwed is the same reason Liberty got screwed. They went with a fairly glaring difference in strength of schedule. And the money. Because choosing the match ups more people want to watch was in the job description. 

Not many folks out there claiming it was a no-brainer. Can't wait for next year when the #13 and #14 teams get to be heartbroken.

I think you make a great point.  "The primary motivating factor for this decision was money".  Period.
