** 2023 Opponent Preview: Illinois (Game 6) **

I haven't been paying close attention to this game but I did see at one point near the end of the half that Altmyer was like 3-3 passing?!???  

 
Illinois should be 0-2 and will lost next week to PSU

Purdue about to be 0-2

Minny should be 0-1

Wisky scrapped their entire new offense to beat Buffalo at home

Northwestern is a dog at home to Utep and there might be less than 10.000 people at their game

Iowa struggled once again at home vs Utah state

Nebraska pissed it away vs Minny.

 
Only thing Illinois had offensively was QB scramble on broken plays.  Had a big TE that made a few plays.

In general the D didn’t stop anything.  
 

But I was impressed with KU.  There were several pretty big calls against them that were trash.  The score didn’t reflect the domination in this game.

Expected a closer game today but it is what it is and I’m not worried about it.

On the road against Illinois looms large. In the preseason, I figured 2-4 at the bye week would have been absolute worst case scenario. But all things considered, 3-3 would be a very reasonable place to be and would give us more margin for error to make a bowl game. Illinois looks awful this year, can’t drop this one.
