** 2023 Opponent Preview : Michigan State (Game 9) **

Michigan State might be just slightly better than Purdue (who might be the worst team in the B1G), but they're still a pretty terrible team. Like Purdue they're now 2-6 after today.

They played one great non-conference team (Washington) and lost that one, obviously.

But then their only two wins were against Central Michigan & Richmond. They're terrible, and they don't have a conference win yet.

Nebraska playing a B1G team nonetheless with only 2 wins on the season for the 2nd week in a row.  Talk about a red carpet.

Never would have thought we would see the league in this much disarray and frankly this bad after Mich, OSU and Penn St.  Weirdest year since we've been in the league imo.

With all the new teams coming into the league next season it could get even stranger.

It definitely will be tougher.

There is definitely a sharp drop-off after the big 3. One could argue 2012 was a bit bit more weird, but for different reasons with Ohio St. and Penn St. being ineligible. Hey, remember when we were in a championship game, favored by 12? Yeeesh.

Next year could be an absolute free-for-all circus.

We literally just won a game where the total was 45 and we had 31.

Do you think MSU is that much better than Purdue?
The last game was out of the norm scoring wise. I'm with him in where the over under should be.  You can't count on things like blocked kicks returned for TDs or the opponent returning a fumble for a TD. That's your 14 points right there going from under to over.
