I think we are on the work need to be done because there is over a month to go, so a 9 seed could crash at the end of the season and not make it.  It's also two different people doing the lists.  Basically their work is to not lose games they should win.

 
Huskers have eight games left in the regular season.  Two are Q1(at Northwestern, at Ohio State), two are Q2 (at Indiana, at Michigan) & four are Q3 (home games against Michigan, Penn State, Minnesota, Rutgers).

They can't afford to lose any home games & it would be nice to see them at least split the road games.  Their current NET is 52, KenPom is 47, Bart Torvik is 48, BPI is 52, BPI SOR is 32.

They are 3-4 against Q1, 3-3 vs Q2, 10-0 vs Q3-4.  They have the easiest remaining schedule in the B1G (80th).  Northwestern is 2nd easiest at 68.  Michigan has the hardest at 6th.

Agree, 20 wins leaves a lot in doubt.  If that happens they will need at least one good win in the tournament.  21 before the tournament should seal it.

 
ESPN updated their bracket today playing Colorado State in Pittsburgh.  Huskers are an 11 seed & one of the last 4 byes.

CBS has them an 11 seed (last team in) playing Texas A&M in the first four for the right to play Utah State in Memphis.

Bracket Matrix has them as a 9 seed and on 94 of 96 brackets, but it was last updated yesterday.

So, at 17 wins. Need to get to minimum 21 and probably 22. 
 

So, need to go 5-1 the rest of the way. 
 

Home: PSU, Minnie, Rutgers. 
Away:  Indy, OSU, Michigan. 
 

If we take care of business at home, OSU and Michigan are the bottom dwellers of the conference.  They should be the easiest to beat on the road. If we could go in the road and beat Indy, that would be huge, and could allow a mistake at home. 
 

Buckle up. It’s going to get interesting. 
 

PS, Fred beating Howard is awesome.

If we go 5-1, we are going to be an 8 or 9 seed.  I still think we make the tournament at 3-3 with a win in the B1G tournament or at 4-2 regardless of our conference results.   21 is our number.... always has been.

3-3 probably gets the Huskers in, but they can't afford to lose any home games.  All three remaining home games would be considered a bad loss.

It would be better to pick up a road win to go 4-2 & a win in the B1G tournament would be a bonus to show the selection committee that they can win away from PBA.

Their computer numbers are 51 at Ken Pom, 48 at Bart Torvik, 53 in the NET, 52 in the BPI & 38 in the SOR. 

NET has them 3-5 against Q1, 3-3 vs Q2 & 11-0 vs Q3-4.  They have one Q1 game left (at OSU - NET 71), 2 Q2 Games (at Indiana - NET 100, at Michigan - NET 108).  All three home games are Q3.

 
Uneven scheduling and a poorly-performing out of conference Big Ten are hurting N here. Going to spend a lot of time rooting against everybody else on the bubble these next few weeks- good news on Texas A&M last night, bad on Pitt... it's unfortunate, but with even more teams next year, who you draw in conference and the metrics are going to determine the 68. (Take it outta their hands though and go 6-0, Huskers!!!!!!)
