Gotcha.  Nash at 1 instead of a QB, freshman or not, feels like a stretch to me to.  QB is what will make this team go, or not go, and not a DT alone.

Yeah, definitely a stretch. Gifford I can maybe see, Rover is critical to the defense and I really don't know who we have that can play it other than Gifford. Nash is great and takes the defense to another level, but I think the defense would still be pretty good without him. I know this isn't specifically a list of "irreplaceable" players, but hardest to replace seems like a good way to quantify the key guys for the season. And by that measure it's 1) Raiola, 2) Gifford and then a huge gap IMO.
