This sucks especially for those of us not in Lincoln area. Gonna be tough to make it to game now without taking time off.

That is usually listed as one of the primary reason Nebraska tries to avoid Friday night home games. So many fans come from so far that it makes it really tough to get there.
Not that the B1G cares, although we've avoided them for a lot of years. I guess we have to take a turn every now and then (until we get as much clout as Michigan and Ohio State).

Man I hate HATE H.A.T.E. this conference and it's favoritisms... Again, No Whisky, No Michigan, No Ohio State, No Penn State.... This conference is nothing but pure evil crooks. I so want Nebraska to tell the B1G to f@!k Off. The 60 mill and title of power 2 conference isn't worth the disrespect the conference administration and administrators show Nebraska and nearly every non-OG school. I HATE the B1G...

As much as I don't care for the Big Ten offices and the egos, there are almost 100 other schools that would gladly switch spots with us. Unfortunately, we're going to have to go out and earn the respect because it will clearly not be handed out willingly.

The B1G should be forced to refund any fan for their ticket. Let the conference actually put their money where their mouth is for doing stupid a$$ s#!t like this.

There is always that "Friday is for HS games" stuff and I get that, especially if you have a kid playing but that is like whining about a wedding on a Husker game day.
Do the right thing, go to your kids game, you will be fine.
Orrrr, if your kid sucks and doesn't play, just TELL him you went to his game, he won't know.

This is actually a great idea.
The hotels for Husker games are booked as soon as they can be booked. And those are always two night stays Friday-Sunday. Now you are going to have fans that have to show up on Thursday or change flight times or travel plans.

This really f@#$%&! sucks. Imagine all the fans that already bought tickets to this game and made hotel reservations. Now, that's all out the window. Either take a day off work or fight the ugly traffic going out to Lincoln during rush hour.

I do wonder what a Friday night game in Lincoln will look like.
I imagine classes will be "cancelled" at least anything in the afternoon.
The bars that normally do not open until evening are all going to open early
Tailgating lots will be opened up by...1pm?
Game will be done my 11 at the latest which means a huge rush to the bars and restaurants.
If you are in Omaha, what time are you heading to Lincoln?
On a Saturday, most everything is open by 9am but that won't be the case on a Friday.

There typically aren't a ton of classes on Fridays in general and are in the mornings, if held at all. With this being an exception to the norm, you're right that there may be some unusual events occurring. I anticipate that the University will treat the day similar to the Volleyball Day in Nebraska where lots were cleared out and campus events turned into a bit of a circus.
