** 2024 Opponent Preview : Colorado (Game 2) **

No. A good FBS team should have a large win over teams like this, so it is not a good win for Colorado at all. They should have won by 3 TD at least. To eek out a win by 5 yards at the buzzer is embarrassing. The way their team played was embarrassing.  Shedeur and Hunter out athleted SDSU by so much that they snuck away w/ the W. But the rest of FBS won't lack the athleticism to contain those two.

I know NU has been beaten by these types of teams in the past or barely beaten these teams in the past. Those are "bad losses," and "bad wins." Those NU teams are, "bad teams."

CU is a mess. That team is a bad team. That win was not a good win.

We lost to a 4-8 worse version of them last year.

We have zero room for pomp on this one.

This was a really risky match-up for Colorado IMO - NDSU is well-coached and talented enough to beat a lot of Power 5 teams, and not just bottom dwellers. Yes, they're FCS, and yes, they're not the "NDSU of old," but they're still a pretty good program.

Of course, later this year Colorado gets to face the guy who coached the NDSU of old... :thumbs

I'm really hoping for a jacked Memorial Stadium, like, I'm talking Miami 2014. Angry. Teetering on the edge. A crowd with bad intentions. Truly intimidating.

You want to believe we'll line up in the 12 man & 22 man formation stuff and grind out 5 yards per carry and win something like 28-24 in a game where we find some way to contain Hunter.

I can see being more physical than them. But I can't really see us beating them in a passing shootout.

It'll be interesting to see what White does to try to stop their passing game.
