** 2024 Opponent Preview : Purdue (Game 5) **

No, it isn't. Television means turning on your cable box and watching channels sent from the tv company to your box. That's not how Peacock works. I don't have the time to describe how streaming works.
I can watch Peacock through my cable box.  And anyone who has Comcast/Xfinity can too without having to pay anything extra.

Having to watch on Peacock is the worst. NBC are the dumpster fire of sports broadcasting.

The worst part of this is cannot DVR the game and they do not allow you to put the broadcast in a library. You MUST watch live. Some of us work on weekends and can't guarantee sitting in front of the TV so NBC can get some more ill gotten profit.

GO BIG RED!!!

How is it ill gotten?  I'll hang up and listen.

Also the point spread is too low.  We win by 20.

Ill gotten because the B1G has its own network. If the big networks don't pick up the game, it should be on the B1G network which is on plenty of platforms that most people get. Instead, we are back to the dark days of having to subscribe (That is money= ill gotten profit) to a network I subscribe to for the sole purpose of watching one game that should be on the network that the league runs and makes massive profits that go back to the schools for their benefit. Profits from NBC go to having knuckledraggers lie to me on a daily basis.

Agree?

GO BIG RED!

I totally sympathize with all the Peacock angst. It is just like my exercise regimen. I want to exercise daily but the dirty bastards require me to get off my a$$ and actually go exercise. It’s so unfair. That really grinds my gears.

I cannot disagree with corporate greed.  Ever.  I respect your point and I would also love to have the whole slate of B1G action available to me on the network on any given Saturday.

I think what your calling "ill gotten" is capitalism at its finest. Ill gotten simply put is stealing.  If they were charging $20 a game I would lean towards that term.  But I'd still pay it, as I'm not missing a game.

While there broadcasters arent the best, the picture is terrific.  And you get to see the bands and crowd scenes pre game.

NBC is trying to grow a platform, much like the others, especially Amazon with TNF.  The bummer there is the extra navigation if you're in to channel surfing commercials.  NBC/Peacock picks games to grow their cfb footprint and brand.

Run the football v Purdue as WSU did and we win by 20+.

Side note:  With Illinois' win, and Michigan State loss, Illini v PSU is NBC Saturday night game.  So win more, get better networks and time slots.

Yep I agree.  I specifically added the sports package to my cable package for BTN.  But Peacock swoops in and takes Big Ten games.  Peacock = knuckledraggers sending us back to the dark days
