** 2024 Opponent Preview : Wisconsin (Game 11) **

Former Husker DB, albeit for one year and 2 games of ST only,  RJ Delancy is now at Wisky and is trying to cover Bama SUPER frosh Ryan Williams.  Burned badly for a TD.  Granted he won't be the only DB burned bad by the 17 year old this fall

Part of us getting back to where we want to be is beating Wisconsin.  This is a must win for me this year.
With competent quarterback play, the only games we SHOULD lose anre Ohio State and USC, and I think even those will be competitive. With the way the big 10 looks this year, anything more than two losses will be a disappointment in my book at this point.

Apparently the USC game was the first time Wisconsin had ever lost their first game to a new Big Ten member, dating back to the founding of the conference in the late 1800s.

Doesn't reflect super well on their strength staff, or if there are dedicated recovery staff. Shutting it down to recover for a few weeks makes sense, but you'd expect that recovery to be done with the team if he's truly open to playing down the line.

I think the plan is to still ride with Longo until the end of the year and part ways there, but if they struggle bad against Purdue we are likely facing an interim OC when they come to town in November. To make a bowl they need to beat Purdue, Northwestern, and Minnesota (they have not lost to Purdue since 2003, they have struggled against NW, and Minny is a rivalry) and then one of us or Rutgers.
