Had a 50 yarder called back for a pancake block by 14 and a 69 yard td called back by a hold.  Thats a possible two more scores and nobody is mentioning letting off the gas.  Almost any time Barney touched the ball the refs had their hands on their flags

Completely agree here.

Kind of wild how terrible Wisconsin is right now.
You could see it coming.  They lived off of lame schedules for years, the way the Big Ten did (does) scheduling was insane.

A bad hire in Luke is not going to help, no NIL to speak of and crap recruiting.  They were stuck in a bad spot.

Keep trying to do exactly what they have been doing and hope for 7 wins each year...OR change to a real offense and see what happens.

They are in the same boat that Iowa is in, Iowa fans that are not in love with KF see the writing on the wall, they know that it will have to be a complete tear down and even when that happens, Iowa will still suck but will look "modern".

Firing Chryst and going to a spread offense was such a bold move. The sense I've gotten of Wisconsin fans is that they're so much more invested in the Packers, Bucks, and Brewers that what the Badgers football team does on Saturdays is kind of just a "nice to have."

I think it's just going to be really hard for them to recruit great players to run that scheme there.

It'll be interesting to see how many wins Iowa can muster this season on out.

Wisconsin was FOR YEARS a doormat in the conference in FB and BB, they are slowly getting back to that.

They are f#&%ed with recruiting and NIL.

I think he is a good coach (look at what he did at Cincy), but might just be a bad fit in Madison.  I still think he was our #2 choice behind Rhule.

I think hiring Longo is going to be his undoing, unless his buyout buys enough time for him to hire a new OC next year. They'll improve, but it's the Scott Frost problem - they can move the ball, but struggle to score in the red zone and haven't recruited WR well at all.

Their defense is also underperforming but Tressel is pretty highly regarded and the advanced stats suggest they are better than they look. The offense is not though, they got a couple fluky big plays but it's just not a style that's going to work with their skill talent outside the ACC or G5 levels.

It's about time, Birds dropped from Top25 rankings polls.

'24 Ditch Chickens offense ...... SLIGHTLY improved

'24 Ditch Chickens defense ...... SLIGHTLY backwards

....... even-steven
