I'm not saying we should be trying to keep Thompson. I'm saying most of our defensive players from last year could start at FSU next year, and that defense would be good enough to win the ACC with a competent offense.  It wasn't a "great" defense, but it was good enough to deserve better than 6-6.

That's what i was thinking. I remember watching him and thinking "damn he is slow and out of position".

No they wouldn't.  Its not like FSU is getting Nash and Ty.  We had an extremely great run defense, the rest of the unit was average to below average.  Even jimari wasnt as impactful as expected and he would be the best pickup for FSU from our transfers
