2025-2026 Portal Updates

This is easily fixed, but the schools themselves are refusing to fix it so they've done this to themselves. Everybody knows that CBAs are the answer. Iowa State knows it. Their AD knows it. The agents know it. ESPN knows it. Congress knows it.

But the schools would rather have this happen to them and attempt to operate an illegal operation to price fix labor rather than let their football players collectively bargain. They've done this to themselves. The way college football is "unsustainable" is entirely because schools want it to be, so Congress can come in and rescue them. Iowa State could fix this tomorrow by recognizing their players as employees but they won't.

Why should Iowa State save college football again? We already took out the ridiculous BCS for everyone. How much more do you people want?

We’ll be fine. Like our new coach Jimmy Rogers and his smash mouth attitude towards the running game…and the idea of dumping that 3-3-5 crap and replacing it with a 4 man front. With 6000 players in the portal we should be able to fill a roster easy with the money we save from the last bunch of whores we called a coaching staff.

Apparently we are mentioned as one of the teams in the mix with him. Although Arizona State seems more likely. Had 15 TDs and 12 INTs. 3 years of eligibility left

It's so stupid, they're trying to force so much that just plain doesn't work (and in some cases isn't legal) without a CBA in place. They're just delaying the inevitable.
Exactly.

I didn't mean that is up to Iowa State to fix CFB, but there's a narrative that the sport is "broken" and the current situation at ISU is given as the reason why.

But it's easily fixed. Everybody knows the fix. But the schools are ignoring it, punching themselves in the face, and then they look for sympathy. My criticism is not only with ISU, but every school to be frank.
