Somebody say All-American D-lineman? 👀

New Mexico State defensive lineman Ezra Christensen: One of the top-graded interior D-linemen this season by Pro Football Focus as both a run stopper and pass-rush winner. He was an All-American in his year with the Aggies, leading the team in sacks (six) and QB hurries (10) — he finished with 42 tackles overall along with a forced fumble. Christensen has previous played in junior college and at Fresno State and has one year of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder from Sierra Leone is visiting Virginia and Colorado right away and tells the World-Herald that Nebraska is also a contender as he works to set up a visit during the open window.

Do we really want transfers from such a weak conference?
People keep referencing Indiana and Curt Cig...... he brought a ton of guys from James Madison. Not sure you (not you specifically) can ask for what Indiana has and complain about the "size" of school your transfers come from. I have said for years, a handful of South Dakota State players are BETTER than the kids we have and they are FCS. Hell, I would take Chase Mason tomorrow if he entered the portal.

I agree, it's a good pickup to increase the talent in the room if Nebraska also picks up a proven product.

Nebraska needs to be looking at Anthony Colandrea from UNLV, Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year.
Alonza Barnett at James Madison - Sun Belt Player of the Year.
Colton Joseph at Old Dominion
Byrum Brown at USF
Drew Mestemaker at North Texas

They could even go after Jaden Craig at Harvard, a late round NFL prospect with 6,074 career passing yards with dual-threat ability.

There are probably 5 or 6 more I could list, all players with proven production that Nebraska could realistically land in the portal. If they land a player like that in addition to the career backup, then I'd be excited about the QB room.
Drew Mestemaker at North Texas -- probably following his coach to Okie State

Colton Joseph at Old Dominion - agree - I liked what I saw of him on film.
