Neutral site. 2020 Cincinnati at Huskers was canceled due to COVID-19

However, either the Akron game or ULM game will be rescheduled for a future season or canceled. FBSchedules.com has learned that Nebraska has added a home game versus the Houston Christian Huskies on Sept. 13, 2025, which will take the place of one of those two contests

Houston Christian University, was Houston Baptist University up until 2022.

Only reason I am familiar is because Lance Berkman (Big Puma) is the Baseball Coach at the school now.

 
Northwestern will now play Louisiana-Monroe, who the Huskers had originally scheduled.

Alberts said it's likely future non-conference schedules will likely be "a more marquee game, a Group of Five game, and then perhaps an FCS game quite often".

 
Word is there are discussions about moving the Cincinnati game again.  There is a possibility that it gets moved to Arrowhead.  The thinking is it would draw more fans, which would be good for Cincinnati as it is technically their home game.

Also, it may move to Thursday night.
