Does anybody here follow those Power Rankings close enough week by week to have an idea if they make sense, are reliable at all, etc?

I have never had a clue how they are done. Always has seemed to me like a cool way for someone to label their total guess at the rankings.

Do you still take take FPI seriously at this point? I mean Texas isn't even ranked in the AP poll, but FPI still has them at #8...
