As others are saying, if we beat Maryland at their place next week I think a 5-1 NU surely gets ranked. It would be interesting to see this Husker team, which has shown good resilience, can handle the additional pressure of a Top 25 target on their backs. I think this team has a good mindset for all that.

I’ve been a little more worried about the Maryland game the past few weeks after seeing their offense capabilities. Those receivers can catch the ball. Thankfully it goes against what seems to be the strength of our defense.
This is the game that I think tells me is this team is going to be a 6/7 win team or a 9 win team. If NU can go beat Maryland on the road, I see good things ahead.

I like our chances. 74 degrees and light winds with no precipitation. Maryland coming off a tough loss so their fan base won't be as big of a factor.

Maryland will be coming off a loss and will be ready to prove its a fluke. And this will be Nebraskas first true road game. The Maryland QB is shifty from what I recall seeing. If our O line can block we should be fine.

In case anyone wants a laugh, ESPN says that Miami is CLEARLY the number one team. They will do anything to minimize the BIG and help SEC schools of which they have 7 SEC teams in their top 12.

Looking at top 25 predictions for week 6 and do not see NU in there at all.....Indiana at #7.....Damn. Cig just continues to win. And I'm hoping for top 25....

Keeping Penn st and Texas in the top 25 is an absolute joke. First top 10 team to lose to an 0-4 team since the 80s.. “yeah they should be in the top 25”
