2025 Season Notes

After watching 6'5" freshman Virginia Adriano against Pitt I'm thinking she won't be one that redshirts. Good grief she I think she could add a lot to this team THIS year already.

Since she played, she's obviously not redshirting. ;)

But I agree that she's going to be legit.

My guess is that she and Sczech are basically equal so they are letting them both play some to see if one can take the job.

For as good as Adriano looked in the first game, Sczech was probably better in the second.

I just read about it a few minutes ago- DBK basically said the same. They both earned the starting position so she plans to play them both this year. Will be interesting to see how the playing time goes the rest of the year.
 
Sounds like Coach DBK is on board with playing occasional games at PBA. She mentioned liking the "big arena experience" it provides the team.

I hope one, or a few, games a year can be played at PBA going forward. It would seem that when Creighton comes to Lincoln and a B1G foe like Wisconsin would be logical choices for PBA.

We find ourselves in a unique place and moment in women's collegiate sports and we should do whatever we can to further advance it.

After 2 matches I agree. The way she talks about this season & the way she came out playing I think she's on a mission. 👍👍
