2025 Single-Digit Numbers

Happy Hartzog has love from his teammates. Every kid that age deserves to belong. That said, his play on the field is about as poor as I've seen from anyone, much less single digit players, in a long time.

Agree. I feel like he got beat over the top a lot and took some questionable tackling angles.

Hear we are very deep at DB so let’s hope maybe Benning or the younger Buford or someone pushes Hartzog for the job IF he still shows the same issues.

I'm going with A for the #1 jersey. Maybe the worst kept secret in Nebraska?

A - Dylan Raiola
B - Emmett Johnson
C - Archie Wilson
D - Other

0 — Javin Wright
1 —
2 — Jacory Barney Jr.
3 — Marques Buford Jr.
4 — Janiran Bonner
5 — Riley Van Poppel
6 — Dane Key
7 — Malcolm Hartzog Jr.
8 — DeShon Singleton
9 — Vincent Shavers Jr.

Reminder that the single digits aren't for the best players, just the team voted leaders/most hardworking/deserving.

I still expect it to be Raiola, but Rhule also said he likes it when the QB doesn't have a single digit. Didn't expand on it a ton, but I think because the daily grind is just less physically demanding for QBs than it is for other positions and he likes the more blue-collar definition of hard working being physical. I am surprised we haven't seen a walk-on/down the depth chart guy get one yet.
