What's Sinclair's ERA? The won loss record is not what you'd want from your Ace (weekend starter). Hope the rest of the year brings better results for him. Esp if the Huskers want to make a serious push towards the top.

Edit: Unless the hitting has been underperforming when he starts. I can see that being the case.

Sinclair's ERA is 3.47. Good but not great I suppose. Opponent's batting .279 against. Not great either.

He beat UNLV 2-0.

Got shelled and lost to BYU 8-3.

Kind of a tough luck loss to LMU 4-1

Lost to aTm 2-1

Beat FGCU 6-3

Beat Michigan 14-3

Beat Texas 3-1

Lost to Maryland 8-3

Lost to Minnesota 3-0.

Really only one bad game against BYU. Couple games where he pitched well but lost.

The huskers.com article had good notes. I'll post here.

From the article: Solving Sinclair

This season though nine starts, Chance Sinclairs walks are down, hes striking out more batters and hes getting more run support than last season, but he sits at 4-5 on the year.

Last season though nine starts senior Chance Sinclair had 1.76 ERA and a 5-1 record. This season, Sinclair has a 3.47 ERA and a 4-5 record.

Even though hes giving up more runs, you could argue that Sinclair has been better on the mound. While he has allowed nine more hits this season (61 to 52), Sinclair has issued fewer walks (11 to 17) and struck out 18 more hitters (40 to 22). The Husker offense is also giving him a slight boost in run support with 3.7 runs per game this season, while he got 3.1 runs per game last season through nine starts.

Seams like he pitches well, but has that one bad inning that costs him the wins.
