You know you are getting close to football season when you can set your DVR to record the game because it's on the TV schedule.

 
Trying to keep a lid on my enthusiasm until next week. For whatever reason, this off season has been even MORE brutal than normal. So I am refusing to tweet or Facebook or visit with friends about the Wyoming game until... Monday. Otherwise, I would turn into that annoying guy that won't shut up.

I agree, but it feels like I actually say that every year.

The only interesting off-season that went fairly quickly was 2010 because there was enough conference realignmnet drama to pass the time. Every other year feels like the worst offseason ever. NEED FOOTBALL.

 
I'm even excited for opening CFB season between Gamecocks and Tar Heels game.........Thursday August 29th 5:00PM CT ESPN coverage.
