3 Other Passing Teams

How did the following 3 other teams do their first season "out-of-the-chute" w/a new head coach and new offensive scheme?

AUBURN 5-6-0

Tuberville took over in '99 and struggled w/a new WCO system. The secondyear they were 9-4-0

USC 6-6-0

Carroll took over in '01 and struggled w/a new WCO system. The second year they were 11-2-0.

OU 7-5-0

Stoops took over in '99 and struggled w/a new passing (modified WCO) system. The second year they were 13-0-0.

 
Difference w/those other schools, they had pretty good talent in place when the coaches took over. NU had the cupboard pretty close to empty.

Also, the other schools had gradually changed to more of a passing offense. NU's change was from black to white. It may take another year for us.

But it doesn't matter because I will be here to support the team NO MATTER WHAT, because I am a HUSKER FAN!!!

 
Plus its a team effort. The defense has to step up. Granted, if the offense does its part the D will look better. 9-3, 8-4 are still respectable considering all the changes in the last 4 years with both FS and BC.
