Fear has nothing to do with what people make content for I guarantee you can find any highlight video from a team that had a losing season any team, why? Because real fans represent their team no matter what kind of year they had. I'm not saying they (or you or your friend) are talentless. They just put out an incredibly juvenile song that reflects badly on my favorite team. The fact that I could do better is, like I said, not saying much.
You seriously sound like you are 16 years old, and cute user name. Half of those rap songs out there, husker related or not, are garbage. Getting to be a big rap star is not about how much time and effort you put into editing, it's your lyrics and rapping ability. That lucid kids rap was decent at best with a few tasteless lines that could be offensive to some. Go on YouTube to a low budget rap, or any genre song and see how they compare to a regular song. People don't hesitate to give bad ratings and say negative things about it if it's not good. I'm not any better at rapping and would never put the time to try because it would be an epic fail. But the people that have the passion to do it, good luck to them, but if they just naturally can't rap/sing and have a terrible beat, it doesn't matter how good "editing" is, the song will get ripped to threads. To an editor the song is more important then highlights themselves because the song is what makes it all work inside their head, if they don't feel the same old cliche songs go with their plan then they use what does. I don't care if its classic, blues, rock, alternative, rap, hip-hop, R&B, dubstep or country a song doesn't make someones work a pile of crap, bad editing does. There is no excuse for why you dont step up other then you cant do it period.

You missed the point about it being videos as a whole, and that's exactly how it started. It was never about a song I didn't even watch the video nor do I care about it but its also not going to be an excuse. You might not understand the work that goes into creating even the most basic highlight videos but they feel what they make. When I made The Comeback vs Ohio State video do you think it took me 30minutes? No, it took over 10 hours from editing down footage, finding 320kbp audio for the sound, trimming it, placing it, slow-mo's - speed ups, color correction, custom contrast and balance settings, custom effects, matching video to audio, playback after playback after playback, rendering, uploading. You can watch it back over 100 times and only be half done. Every detail takes time and a lot of effort, and even after all that and its upload there's things you wish you could change.
Rap songs or pump up videos or highlights. When I go to watch a video I expect great things, whether I am capable to do the editing, transitions, music etc or not is beyond the point. If a highlight video is the users best work, but is not good compared to other videos, you think they should be praised?? I don't really care how much time they put into making it, if it doesn't deliver then they shouldn't be butthurt about people talking down on it. I should not be told to tell someone nice job if it wasn't good. On a lighter note which video was yours, The minute and a half one with the inception music?

I spent a good 45 minutes surfing the web on my iPad and checking HuskerBoard while taking what I thought was a nearly priceless poop last night. I put a lot of effort into that - and so I was really disappointed when I showed my wife and she said it still looked like sh!t. I feel your pain, i'm still hurting inside as well.
