30 for 30?

Any word on the 30 For 30 on the 90's era Huskers? I thought it was supposed to come out right before football season.

 
I didn't think we were expecting it until next year.

Be great to let younger fans see the greatest team ever. Might even help recruiting. Warts and all. Looking forward to it.

 
Ill continue to take this stance on this. I really wish it werent made. Im tellin ya. Theres gonna be stuff exposed-well beyond the Phillips stuff-that is going to darken this era for some folks. Wed be better off just continuing on our way remembering it like we already do. This series is about contrpversy. Plain and simple. Gonna be a lot of folks wishin theyd just stick to youtube games of the 90s for memories after this is over.

Camelot had some issues no doubt. I'm interested if it will be more trash or triumph. I'm hoping they talk more about the greatness than the crap that went on. Of course, the drama puts more people in the seats.

I can see some stuff being new to a national audience, but what could possibly be new to Husker fans?

yep I have a feeling this will be more about the negative drama than football.
 
ESPN doesn't control the message of the film. It all depends on how the film maker wants to portray the team. They are interviewing a number of Huskers from those teams to appear in the film. I think it will be more positive than negative. But they can't totally ignore the negative things the players were involved with at the time.

 
You know, if there are so many warts in that history then it should be for the best to shine a great big light on it. And perhaps we can all moderate our feelings of personal pride about a sports team's accomplishments accordingly.
