35-1

I wonder if our odds were better last year at this time. This year we probly have a slightly better chance of running the table. Since it's our second year in the B1G and our sched is sightly more favorable. 35-1 seems about right though.

I think that's generous. It would be pretty shocking to me if they got a look at even the top 5 at any point during the season.
They'll start top 5 for at least the first few weeks of the season....
I hope that's just sarcasm.
Why would it be sarcasm? USC is #1 in one of the pre-season polls. But perhaps you thought he meant Nebraska.
Yes, was referring to Nebraska. No way they even sniff the top 5. USC on the other hand, definitely the most likely candidate to end the SEC's run.
We're on the same page now. I thought you were talking about USC. Not a chance in hell we crack the top 5 next year.

USC is truly amazing. What they have recruited with fewer scholarships is bewildering. One would have thought that with their limitations they would take a stop back. A few years later they are projected a favorite to win it all. Scary!
Well, with the number of scholarships down, the illegal benefits per student - athlete goes UP!

usc has not been totally affected by their scholly decline YET. this will be their last chance for awhile. they will do good this year and then the next couple of years they will be down for the count

yeah I think I read somewhere about the creative ways they've employed to maximize dealing with the cuts for as long as they can. They'll feel the effects eventually, no doubt about it, but they can delay and spread it out some so it isn't the killer it would seem.

Lane Kiffen is an arogant a$$ no question, but he is one hell of a coach. He kept that team together last year and at the end of the year, they were the only team capable of playing with bama in my opinion.

The restrictions have not hurt SC yet, and I have my doubts that they will. They can play in a bowl game this year, will still have the choice of anyone west of the Mississippi and getting 10 to 12 5star and 4star athletes is better than a crap load of 2 and 3 star hole fillers.

They have the Hollywood advantage, the campus sucks and I do not think their facilities are on par with some of the top programs, but it is in the shiney city and kids want to be part of the sideline scene.

I would not expect SC to fall very far from these sanctions.

Stanford and OK St wave hi.

USC's campus is in a horrid part of LA, and the Coliseum needs to be razed, but as long as Cal exists, it ain't the worst campus/area out here.

It is outstanding, but with their sheer numbers of local talent and their tradition, they can get away with pulling in elite classes with reduced scholarships
All the talented thugs love that they can still gang-bang at home and play football...well...as long as they can get someone else to pass the tests for them pass their entry tests.
