well considering pinkel is stupid and doesn't have smith run and run the option which killed us last week and suspended his good running back for telling the truth yeah cosgrove is better than pelini.lol Also considering they tried passing with smith who isn't the greatest anyways in 35 mph wind and memorial stadium. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
good point though cosgrove is better than pelini. Cosgrove would do ok probably if he could have mcbride give the speeches and tomich fire them up.
Against Missu, Cosgrove game plan worked to a tee. Who cares about their top back being suspended. he didn't play, Incognito doesn't play for us. Thats part of the game. We contained Smith to 22 yards on 21 CARRIES. That was a lot better than last year. We forced him to throw when he is not a good throwing quarterback. Plus, his defense held Misso to 3 POINTS. That is what really matters. A job well done blackshirts.
It is a four quarter game. Bo should of know that he couldn't relax on Smith last year. Cosgrove didn't let up in the fourth this year. And the only person that contributed to much last year for them that they didn't have this year was Abron. Plus, you have said many times that our defense suxs and would fold against any good offensive team this year. Well it didn't look like we folded saturday.

Never satisfied. Cosgrove ran a defense Pelini said he never heard of and it worked. What spying on a mobile quarterback, go figure. I thougt I heard that Ruud got Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week. How was Smith better last year? Did he just some how forget how to play? Yeah we were ahead going into the forth quarter last year before the defense staff and players crapped their pants. This year we were ahead at the end of the ballgame and last time I checked that is the only time that matters.
I've never said our defense sucks. We have the best secondary in the nation. I believe your the one that was saying fabian sucks and all that. We have 2 weak outside linebackers and our dtackles are average but other than that we are very solid, however with the wrong scheme and a lack of motivation they can suck just like any other defense.
I don't agree that Pinkel will get fired. He has turned around a program and has them heading in the right direction. This year may not be a good as last year. But last year was the first time that they made it to a bowl game in a long time. He has that the respect of the college and no way will he get fired this year.
