Baylor opened Big 12 play with two losses against ranked opponents, #12 Texas and #10 Iowa State, and three of their other losses were against ranked teams in a tournament in Minnesota a few weeks ago, where they played #14 Minnesota, #16 Northern Iowa, and #19 Dayton. The Bears lead the Big 12 in digs per set, with outstanding defense from libero Caitlyn Trice.

There are no Nebraskans on the Baylor roster, but junior setter Brittany Ridenour is from Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Did you read the article in the JournalStar today where Baylor isn't letting Nebraska on to the court for early warmups due to a "scheduling conflict?"

Well, it looks like the lack of practice time on the Baylor court didn't hurt anything. Nebraska cruises in the first set 25-19.

Werth was hurt in an accident as a child and it messed up her vision. She played High School and Club ball without realizing the extent of her vision problem, but now that she has the Rec Specs she's able to see much better. She's really happy with them.
