42-1st half points vs. 0-2nd half points. What was the difference?

Diaco in the booth or on  the field would not make a difference. Do you think Diaco is just isolated up there watching? They can still make adjustments on the fly with him in the booth

Diaco is very good at halftime adjustments.  We saw it time after time.

Or maybe we didn't see he was bad at first half game planning.
I think Diaco is a smart guy who can see what the offense is doing from his view in the coach's box and he can make adjustments when talking to the kids at halftime.  But, boy, he has had 2 stinker game plans so far this year.

Then why doesn't he?
Because he is stubborn? I don't know why but I guarantee if he was on the field it would be the same. What difference is there? Can he not tell his assistants what needs to be done from the booth? The booth is not the reason he doesn't make adjustments in the first half is my point.

Well the defense stopped the run when they needed to.  If Oregon picks up first downs running the ball we lose anyway.  It very well could have looked like a Wisconsin run game in the second half but the D stepped up

The only reason, was not that Bob made the adjustments, they let off the gas pure and simple.  They were never able to turn it on after that.  We seemed to really lose 3 steps when Tre Bryant went out of the game of offense.

I agree ColoradoHusk.

It's pretty obvious, Diaco has had some terrible game plans to start the game. As in the Arkansas game, adjustments didn't seem to take place until the second half.  Do you have any idea why they can't be made earlier?
I'm wondering if he were on the sideline rather than in the booth, he might be able to affect the game more quickly.  With today's technology, he can still have an Ipad and get a feed of the same view he gets from the box, I think.

To recap other posts on this board (not necessarily this thread):  Our defense and DC suck --- Our Offense is mehdiocre ----and our QB is just the opposite of a first round draft pick.  And yet we wind up losing by 7, with a chance to tie in the last two minutes.  Those two things just don't seem to jive with me.

We aren't the team that is going to win comfortably this year, but we aren't the team that gives up without a dog fight.  I'll take it for now.  Like it or not we are competing.  Until we get embarassed I'll keep my pitchfork back in the shed.  No teams we have left scare me anynore.

Our Def will get better, but it is up to the coaches to get these guys fired up.  You can say the play calling was passive, but we got pushed around the in first half and we did the pushing in the second.
