Uh and maybe the fact they have been running their offensive system for decades and defensive system for at least 5 years.  But, good golly, if you only believe in yourself, that is all you need.

Had them beat? When? There is a reason football is 4 quarters and Wisconsin's style of football lends itself to close games with most opponents.  On top of that, last year was not a close game.  One thing that is indicative of a team that has more "horses" than the other team is a game that is close for 2 1/2 to 3 quarters but blows open in the 4th quarter for the team that has more "horses".

He's talking about 2016, when we took them to OT. Kinda silly to nitpick in a thread where the whole point is to try to find the positive. The right attitude to have is the one you have when you throw up and feel terrible but you've just eaten fruit loops so it doesn't taste that bad.

My five.  

In descending order of probability:

1. Traing table staff forget to wash their hands and the entire team comes down with Norwalk virus 2 hours before kick-off.

2.  Earthquake strikes Madison and swallows the the Greenbush and Vilas neighborhoods eliminating a host of Badger fans and causing the Badger team to go into shock before the game.

3.  Meteor strikes Badger locker room after they finish warmups and go in for pregame talk.

4.  There is a tear in the space -time continuum causing the Taylors and the offensive line to be sucked into a vortex and thrust into another dimension and leaving the team confused and bewildered.

5.  It finally clicks for the Huskers and they eliminate stupid penalties and assignment miscues and look like they know WTH they are doing for a change.
