The Brown and Suttles incident made the attrition rate a bit higher than normal, but yes it is clear they could have signed about 2 more easily. However all of these are legit contributors and should be on scholly if possible.

Also depends on the numbers in each class. I don't have them handy but if we under-signed after losing a bigger class that might allow us to add more to a smaller class which would likely work out better in the long run.

I thought Brown AND Suttles counted against our 85 limit because their departure was after July 1

Goes back to the definition of "contributor" again I guess. Starkebaum has played in 1 game over 4 years..for a handful of plays. I guess that's technically contributing.
