In becoming the first repeat champion since the 1978-79 Alabama squads, Nebraska also set a mark for the largest margin of victory by a No. 1-ranked team in a bowl game, recorded the second-biggest blowout ever by a No. 1-ranked team over a No. 2 team and scored the most points ever by a No. 1 team against another top-10 team.
Is that dominating enough for you?
no, i wanted nebraska to make spurrier cry like a little girl.
i'm just mean like that.
Not only that, he said the '95 Huskers had a "one-dimmensional attack". Can't say I agree with that. Sure we could ram it down their throats, but Tommie could throw too!and that bum Herbstreit picked USuCk
IMO, Frazier was became a GREAT passer in TOs offense his SR year. His stats were very good, not great, but there were many, many times when he threw the ball away to avoid a negative play, or when there wasnt an open receiver. Besides Brook, Tommie was the best passing QB NU has had since Gill, and maybe since the 70's.Not only that, he said the '95 Huskers had a "one-dimmensional attack". Can't say I agree with that. :yeahThen Kirk asks the question why don't we see more offenses like the '95 Huskers today if they were so good? As Osborne and Switzer said during the Oklahoma game on TV this year, there just aren't coaches out there that believe in that system and know how to run it effectively. Kirk thinks that defenses have changed and it just isn't possible to run that type of system anymore, whereas Osborne as Switzer said that offenses have become so similar that the defenses don't see anything different. Perhaps that is why defenses look better to Kirk, because they see virtually the same plays week in and week out.
