Jerrell Powe is one of the top interior defensive line recruits in the entire nation this coming season. He already has the Cornhuskers high on his list of favorites and the defensive line is the highest need area for next year’s recruiting class. HuskersIllustrated.com talked to Jerrell to see what the extent and seriousness of his interest in Nebraska is.

Junior To Watch: Ryan Perrilloux

Reserve, Louisiana dual-threat quarterback Ryan Perrilloux is this year’s Vincent Young. Ordinarily, Nebraska wouldn’t have received a look from this Rivals.com Junior All-American, but he is very familiar with Coach Callahan and is willing to give the new Husker program and offense a chance.

But I do have some negative news about JP. He now says Nebraska is too far away. Stated that he will probably go with Auburn b/c they are close, and they have a bunch of his old teammates playing for them.

Well this isnt what we would hope to hear, but we heard this before this past season, ie Murtha etc. So I wouldnt count us out yet!!
