A More Game Changing First Year Guy?

Can you think of a husker who has more of a game changer in his first season with the team than Maurice Purify has been? It's been amazing seeing how much his role has changed throughout the year. The only one I can really think is Zac Taylor last year.

 
I think there's been plenty. Yes, Frazier. Didn't LP get some major carries/yards his first year? Crouch...sorry, have to say, they tried to get the ball in his hands anyway they could. Even if he didn't get it D-Coords were concerned even if he ended up being the decoy on a fake end-around.

And don't forget Congdon. After missing his first PAT ever at Nebraska, he was automatic for the rest of his freshman year....and he was deadly from 29 on field goals. :worship

 
Purify is definately a stud!!!! I can't believe no one else picked him up............we are sooooo lucky to have him here at Nebraska.

 
I have a feeling we will get another kid of his caliber this offseason....just call it a hunch. If we do that will really open thigs up

 
Newcombe was pretty dangerous his first year. Didn't we use him on punt and kickoff returns just to get him on the field?

 
he had it all, for sure man.

made a BIG TIME play every game.

I remember when he intercepted an option pitch and was gone...to the HOUSE.
