I think the biggest problem would be getting Pederson to agree to do this, espically the part of Turner be a coach
Maybe he just hasn't seen it? :dunnoHello Hunter!! Arena Football has been around for over 10 years. ESPN is showing games and their playoff games. I think you are in denial.Hunter94 said:i don't think this will really fly. arena football has never taken off either.
Maybe he meant in Lincoln it wouldnt take off. They had a team for what 1 season?Maybe he just hasn't seen it? :dunnoHello Hunter!! Arena Football has been around for over 10 years. Aaron's rental also sponsers it, and they advertise the hell out of the Arena Bowl
I dont know, they are just going to be renting the stadium....for $300,000. We just had to raise ticket prices, this would be a great way to make some extra money! Hell I'd go watch Crouch play for Turner, wouldnt you?I think the biggest problem would be getting Pederson to agree to do this, espically the part of Turner be a coach

See thats the problem, watching a Major League game on TV makes me want to hang myself but to actually go to a game is pretty fun. That is what arena ball is, you have to go to the games to get the atmosphere and it is awesome! Go Brigade! (KC's arena team!) Besides, football is still football baby!Hello Hunter!! no. i just think arena ball isn't worth watching and this wouldn't be any better, unless you just like to watch 2nd or even 3rd tier talent play some more ball. just my opinion, many others may like it, but i think it would have very limited appeal over the long haul.

I would love to see AAFL take over and choke out the arena league, dont just throw something away just because there is a mediocre version of it already. Full field, hometown boys, Memorial Stadium with familiar names and faces...sounds good to me!See thats the problem, watching a Major League game on TV makes me want to hang myself but to actually go to a game is pretty fun. yes, i know what you are saying, but if arena ball was such a great draw, the league would have expanded by now, but that has not happened. i think what they have is OK, but adding more, at another level, would not necessarily be of a long term beneficial situation.
So youre saying I'm completely right! Wow I appreciate the support but I don't think it was necesary to speak so badly of Hunter94, he seems like a nice guy and I mean he does have some good points, there is no need to call him names! :lol:i see both of your points, it's really hit or miss, and that what maybe a deciding factor in the final decision.
All I can say is that we need this league in Lincoln bad. I would even go to the Iowa games since I live in Des Moines. I think this league will get off the ground and be successful, IF, they give it a chance.
:wastedWhat do you think about spring and summer Tailgating at Memorial????
I don't think he said ex-head coach, did he? Could it possibly be a prominent ex-assistant? There are a few of them floating around.RaisedHusker said:Here is the fun thing about the quote. PROMINENT COACH!!zoogies said:If he said that...well, let's see. Frankie? Nah. Devaney? I don't think so...
Although he didn't necessarily mean head coach. If he did, then well, that narrows it down....![]()
Frankie Solich NO WAY
Devaney DEAD
McBride TOO OLD
The one thing we have in this situation is that we can eliminate coaches easily!!!
