Even if I wasn't a Mizzou fan (which I am), I'd still think this is a cool story - because I like baseball.

Missouri's Aaron Crow is pitching Friday night against Texas and brings a streak of 42 and 2/3 innings of scoreless pitching.

He's 7-0 with an ERA of 0.69. Several baseball analysts think he will be the #1 pick in the MLB draft. It could be interesting when Nebraska visits Columbia for the final Big 12 series of the season.

Aaron's a 6'3" kid from Kansas. His fastball is in the mid 90's. First game of the year he struck out 10, including the last 3 hitters on 9 pitches.

It's to bad Mizzou has really fallen off lately... hopefully they get it back and the 'skers keep going so we get a top 10 matchup late in the year!

Ah well.... Aaron gave up 5 runs in the first last Friday, breaking his streak. It was cold and drizzly. But the Tigers squeaked by Texas, 31-12. (Wind was blowing out). Typical Mizzou score - 4 TD and 1 FG. :)

Ehh I don't know if I like this pick. He is going to ask for a whole lot of money and if the Nats couldn't sign him the Royals might have a little trouble as well. He has a big upside though.

he was only asking for $4mil. last year. And the royals have spent more money in the draft than any team in the league the last 2 years. I think this deal gets done.

Agreed. Each of the Royals previous 3 number one picks were Scott Boras clients so dealing with Crows' agent shouldn't be an issue. Dealing with Hochevar may already give them a blueprint for dealing with Crow since they both were draft reentries.
