Aaron Curry transferring

It definitely sucks to lose him, but I think it says more about Collins and Valentine. All it's going to take is one injury and this could come back to hurt us.

Isn't he number 2 on the DT depth chart?

Or maybe Kevin Williams took his #2 spot? So it would be 1. Valentine 2. Kevin Williams and 1. Collins 2. Maurice

What happened to the team first mentality? Sounds like Aaron Green all over again. If you can't win the job, just move on to the next school? see ya!!

Next man up, but I really liked Curry. He was very impressive at times last year, wish he would have stuck it out here at Nebraska. Love Kevin Williams, but his knees scare me.

Same thoughts here, Ed. Wish him the best.

Any thoughts on the timing? Doesn't seem typical.

This says a lot more about Maurice and Williams than the starters. Curry realized even they passed him on the depth chart and he wasn't going to see much time.

We can complain about losing 3rd string depth but the same people will also complain that we kept a kid on the roster for 2 years while younger kids played over them. Now we have another scholarship to spend in a year where our recruiting is already going great. The only negative I see is if injuries hit DT we may have to burn some redshirts.

Sucks to lose solid depth but as was said Maurice and Williams had solidified themselves as the primary back-ups. I'm surprised OU is the team he transferred to. I'd imagine Bo had a hand in hooking Curry and Stoops up with each other.

Williams might be having a good camp but his is made of rubber bands and legos.

Curry was going to get 20-30 snaps a game (I would guess) Heck most starting DT's only get around 50-60 snaps a game (Unless you are playing EA sports where you just never take guys out!)
