Abdullah to the NFL?

Not just because he had a huge game, but he is putting together a nice season. In addition, there are only so many hits the body can take in a lifetime, if he continues like this, does he go pro after this season?

Nah, don't think that will happen.

I'd be surprised if he left early. As good as Ameer looked today, I don't think he's close to being a first round guy. Or even high enough to consider leaving early for the draft. Abdullah wouldn't go much higher than Helu, would he? Helu went in the 4th round.

True but few teams take RB's high since their shelf life is short (usually). But wouldn't most people leave early for the fourth round and Helu's salary?

Agreed. Not this year. But he has a good shot at three 1000 yard seasons. And that will turn some heads.

Also, the Huskers have a good track record of guys coming back for their senior year. Sure, we've lost a handful of guys over the years. But not as many as most college teams.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ameer leaves early. With a good combine, he could be a 2nd-4th round pick, which is about what he would be if he came back for his senior season.

I wouldn't blame him. RBs have a limited number of carries that they can put on their legs. Get your money when you can.
