ACC - ESPN Deal - does it stop conf expansion

I'm thinking Nebraska was AAU at the time of application and acceptance, but that it had been revoked before actually being part of the conference. Does that sound right? I usually have a good memory on this historical stuff, but it seems a little shaky to me.
that is correct. It was a 'what was that feeling' We were just annouced as new members and just a short time later our AAU was revoked.

Going back to the original post - do you think we remain at 14 or do we move up. Would you prefer to be at 16 or 14?

Me: I'd like to see 16 after the new west/east divisions. I'd like to beef up the competition in the west - it will only make us better.

I don't want it to be the big 12 north again. We play a week div schedule and aren't ready for the CCG.

There are 3 teams that I can think of that would boost the West division and none of them are Missouri

We are at 14, which I think is to big as it is, so you might as well go 16. If we do have 2 other schools join, I would hope to have them be quality schools, that will help our sports athletics out in more than just one category. Kansas could also become a school the Big 10 might show interest in. They are rich in tradition, and part of the AAU organization. Their program could benefit us in basketball, and somewhat football, as well as other sports.

what is the difference? we played a challenging div. schedule and still were not ready for the CCG. you either have a good team or you do not.

And boom. It finally comes out. No matter who we play, if we win 'em all, the rest takes care of itself. That's the ultimate goal, right?
