Accountability and Consequences

On-field accountability may have some to do with depth.

Caveat - running back seemed like a series of odd starts all year. So who knows.

To be fair Knapp, it kinda grinds my gears when people get banned for much less than your passive aggressive comments derailing a perfectly reasonable thread topic. This isn't a knock on you, more so on how the board/mods handle those type of things. I don't think it was fair to come in here guns blazing like that in the first two minutes of the post, deliberately sending it spiraling down. The argument has always been to let discussion continue whether you agree with it or think it's stupid.

This staff is still figuring out their players with a new approach. It seems they handled everything internally but nobody really paid the price. MR screams passive leadership and with that, accountability seems to be non-existent. I don't see that changing.

Riley suspended multiple players this year, some for multiple games. Off the field discipline is not a problem IMO. I can think of 5 that didn't play in the opening game because of suspentions and they definitely could have been used.

That isn't fair, because nobody has been banned for anything like that. I have an inside source on most every banning that happened in the past five years. None of them were for a post like mine.

What you see as a "perfectly reasonable thread topic" others see as blatant trolling, especially with the line "Things like this is what makes a team like Iowa better than us right now." ESPECIALLY when the concept of Riley not suspending players is laughable, and demonstrably false with even a cursory google search.

But I mean hey, if you want to poke at me instead of this topic, OK. Just realize that your post and this reply are going to end up in the Tangent thread. And we'll probably both be banned for it.

Lol at the people defending Riley as a disciplinarian. He allowed a team captain to publicly drop a deuce on the fanbase TWICE with barely a mumble in response.

A stick of butter left out on the dining room table is harder at the end of the Thanksgiving meal than Mike "Golly gee wilikers" Riley.

I personally didn't think what Alex Lewis did was worthy of anything more than internal discipline. Which I would guess happened.

Oh, I do love it when we get all up in arms about everything and everybody.

Repeated posts like yours.

Blatant trolling in your (and a lot of mods) eyes = anything you don't agree with or doesn't support the majority's opinion.

"Especially with the line, Things like this is what makes a team like Iowa better than us right now."

I'm bitter. We're all bitter. But what don't you get? They beat us. They are better than us right now. They're ranked #3 for a reason. That's laughable you want to argue that. I'm sorry, we lost, I know it sucks, but accept it man.

You're taking this way, way seriouser than I am. I suggest you report my posts and leave me to my fate.

You're just lucky that I am monitoring this, and not Mike Riley. Because he is a stern disciplinarian. He would make you both sit out for a game. And not let you join in the Hip hip hooray! That is, if it happened to be one of the five weeks when they did that.
