Wow, this is actually a great spot for him right now.
The Jets suck so even if they start Tyrod (good for him for still being in the NFL for like 15 years), they will still end up giving Martinez a few starts, assuming they are not in the playoff hunt.
Or AM starts the season, a season with zero expectations. So if he can even get them 7 wins, he will be in great shape for a contract.
