Again is Sam being overly negative about this team?

I agree with Sam's take. There are absolutely no playmakers on defense at all. None. The closest we come are Collins and Gerry, both of whom would be unremarkable players on any of the top 10-15 defenses.
The offense has lots of talent that is being hamstrung by an unfamiliar scheme and a very mediocre offensive line (and the coaches' stubborn refusal to play Wilbon). But the defense has no high impact players whatsoever.
